[Flow-tools] Is it possible to pass FILE to ftio_init instead of an int for file descriptor?

I want to run smth like:
FILE *f = popen("flow-cat -t ... -T /netflowdir");

and then:
ftio_init(&flow, 0, FT_IO_FLAG_READ)

Is that possible?
