[Flow-tools] Runtime for flow-stat

Hey guys,

I just ran a little test and concluded the following:

> flow-cat "28 MB of flow-data" | flow-stat
...resulted in 0.1 seconds of processing time per MB.

> flow-cat "1.6 GB of flow-data" | flow-stat
...resulted in 0.17 seconds of processing time per MB.

Can anyone explain this?

I did the test only using "flow-cat data > /dev/null", which yielded a
linear runtime. So to me it seems that flow-cat runs in non-linear time.
