Actually the man-page usually does contain everything you need. But in my
experience you don't notice that unless you're really sharp or after you've
seen other people's examples online. The best thing to do is to google it.

And if you get really stuck, then ask in here.

Also, from what I see, people don't use flow-tools that much for presenting
data. Usually they just pass the default output with their favorite
scripting language and turn it into something different.
